The highlight for me in Africa is being out in those land rovers and having that sense of freedom again. Riding through the safari and seeing all of God's incredible creatures.

And it doesn't necessarily have to be the big creatures. I get just as much joy out of seeing a Lilac Breasted Roller as that of the magnificent elephants and the lions. So it's not just the big five. The wild dogs, all of it - it's pretty special.

Julie, Jack, Kathaleen and Suzi Hanna

This trip, when we got to Jack's Camp we really didn't see a whole lot of wildlife and we were kind of puzzled why this camp was here. But we realized that there's more to Africa than just the animals. There you have the salt pans and it was a totally, completely different environment. In Botswana every single camp had something different, so it was a new experience at every place.

You've been married to Jack now for 30 years traveling and experiencing most of the things that he does. What about it do you find most rewarding?

Jack and I both feel that we are blessed and very, very fortunate. We say that if we die tomorrow, it would be OK because we have experienced more in a lifetime than we could ever even begin to imagine. Traveling around you experience so much and you learn so much and the thing that I have to say is that we both truly appreciate the experiences that we've had and we don't ever want to think of ourselves as taking it for granted.

What would people be surprised to know about you?

Well, if they're around Jack they'd probably be surprised to know that I am not organized like Jack. I'm his complete opposite. Jack is definitely a type A personality, very much on top of things. And I'm much more laid back. Anything goes. If Jack wants to bring home twenty people for dinner, that's fine. It doesn't faze me. Whereas Jack is extremely organized and just hyper! My mother in law said to me once, "you know, I don't understand how Jack stays married to you. But on the other hand, I don't understand how you stay married to Jack. So, I guess that's why the two of you make a good couple."
