Hello!
I'm Scott, one of the people behind the scenes at jackhanna.com.
I recently shut down my computer to journey with Jack and crew to
South Africa and Botswana.
Naturally,
when I was approached to go to Africa with Jack, I jumped at the
chance! It was the trip of a lifetime and I am happy to share my
journal with the fans of Animal Adventures.

| Botswana,
quite frankly, is the Africa you always hoped existed. The animals
are plentiful and freely roam the land. Only 16 visitors are permitted
per 250,000 acres and those operating camps obey strict environmental
codes. |
 |
|
| The
production crew filmed in Africa for nearly a month and I caught up
with them for the middle two weeks. The shows that were filmed during
this time will air this fall. As you know, Jack and the Animal Adventures
production team travel the world to bring you original footage. Once
I got there, I realized that it's not as easy as it might look! Wild
animals certainly do what they please. |

Most
of the pictures in this journal were taken by me. In a few cases,
the pictures may be a little too real and you may prefer to not view
them - I've noted where these are. Not everyone wants to see a picture
of a dead elephant or a cheetah eating an impala. But, as that's what
happens in Africa, I have decided to include them in this online journal. |
|
| I do hope
you enjoy reading my journal as much as I did putting it together.

PS.
Many thanks to the producers of Animal Adventures for their support; Rick
Prebeg for sharing journal notes and photographic contributions; Jack
and his family and the production team for a memorable trip - and Ted
for introducing me to the Leprechaun.
